Mandala Coloring Pages
All the mandalas on this page are round, and they go from easy to busy as you scroll down. The easy ones have a big star, a heart or a lollipop in the middle with wide petals around it. Young kids can fill those in without much help.
Further down, the mandalas show up in fun places. One sits inside a dreamcatcher with feathers hanging below. Another is drawn on the palm of an open hand, and three more cover lanterns that hang on chains. The last few are packed with tiny petals and swirls, and many teens and adults print those mandala coloring pages to relax after a long day.
Round designs with an animal in them are fun too. Our lion coloring pages have a lion face mandala.

What Does the Word Mandala Mean?
Mandala is a very old word from India. It means circle. People in India, Nepal and Tibet have made mandalas for a very long time. Some monks in Tibet make a mandala out of colored sand. It can take them many days. When it is done they sweep it all away.
Easy Mandala Coloring Tips
Even patterns make the prettiest mandalas.
- Begin with the center and work out one ring at a time.
- Give every shape in a ring the same color. That keeps both sides matching.
- Pick three or four colors and use them again in the outer rings.
- Use colored pencils on the busy sheets. Crayons work well on the easy ones.

Frequently asked questions
Where should young kids start?
Try the star, the heart, the candy or the four small mandalas. They have big shapes and only a few rings.
Is a mandala a religious picture?
Mandalas began in Hindu and Buddhist art. The ones on this page are just flowers, stars and shapes. Anyone can color them.
What works best on the busy ones?
Colored pencils with sharp tips are best for small shapes. Fine markers work too on thick paper. Thin paper lets the ink soak through.
Some sheets print too light. What can I do?
Many printers use a light draft setting to save ink. Thin lines can fade on that setting. The printing guide explains how to switch to the best quality.
