Frequently asked questions
Do pandas really eat only bamboo?
Almost. Bamboo is nearly all a giant panda eats, and it can spend about half the day eating it. Pandas in zoos also get treats like apples and carrots.
Where do pandas live?
Wild giant pandas live in the mountains of China, in cool forests full of bamboo.
How big is a baby panda?
Tiny. A newborn panda is about the size of a stick of butter, pink and with almost no fur. The cubs on these pages are much older.
Which pandas are best for a toddler?
The panda eating bamboo and the panda on a trampoline. Both are one big panda with only a few things around it. The page with four panda faces is easy too.
Is there a page with more than one panda?
Yes. A mother hugs her cub, and a panda gives a cub a piggyback ride. There is also a panda doctor with a cub, and a page with four pandas in boxes.
